Rosacea affects 3 to 5% of the population and usually occurs between the ages of 30 and 50,
where it is seen that women are more often affected than men, but men’s symptoms are generally more severe.
The cause of rosacea is unknown, but it is thought to be a combination of heredity and environment. This means that sun, heat and cold, medications, and long-term use of creams containing, for example, adrenal cortex hormone can contribute to rosacea.
The severity and location of the disease can vary and is characterized by conical inflammatory lesions on the face, neck, chest, and scalp. It may be accompanied by itching, dryness, spider veins, pimple-like inflammation, red bumps, and permanent facial redness.
Beeswax Ointment can help reduce itching and dryness of the skin by creating a barrier that retains moisture and soothes. The beeswax in Beeswax Ointment has an antibacterial effect and can therefore help reduce inflammation in dogs, often helping to relieve redness and pimples.
Beeswax Ointment can be a soothing aid for rosacea, but should be combined with other creams and treatment methods such as laser. For rosacea, we recommend using Beeswax Ointment in the morning (after using a high SPF cream) and in the evening (after using another cream). In addition, we recommend washing your face, neck, and chest with Skin Clean several times a week (see “Treating Acne and Rosacea on the Face” section above) and using Beeswax Ointment and Skin Clean for Rosacea on the scalp (see “Dandruff, Psoriasis, and Eczema on the Scalp” section above).
