Psoriasis is a skin disease characterized by increased immune system activity in the epidermis, creating scaly plaques that can cause rashes over large areas of the body. The severity of psoriasis can vary greatly, including onset, location, plaque size, and onset/duration of the disease.
Most often, psoriasis is distributed symmetrically over the body, for example, on both elbows. About
2–3% of the population has psoriasis, and studies suggest it is a hereditary condition.
The benefits of White Wonder cream
White Wonder Cream relieves many of the discomforts associated with psoriasis. The cream retains moisture, creating a protective barrier that helps prevent infection. It helps soothe and regenerate the skin, eliminating excruciating itching and reducing some redness. White Wonder contains beeswax, which promotes skin health, cell growth, and repairs damaged skin to help combat dry skin.
Our White Wonder cream is so neutral that it can also be used on the mouth, nose, ears, eyes, navel, and genitals—in short, on all skin types. In some cases, White Wonder can help relieve the discomfort of psoriasis, but it can be combined with other creams and treatment methods. We recommend using White Wonder in the morning (after a high-SPF moisturizer) and in the evening (after using other moisturizers).
Additionally, we recommend cleansing psoriasis with thick lesions or plaques with our Skin Clean several times a week (see “Using White Wonder to Treat Skin Problems” above).
Skin Clean works on the second layer of skin and penetrates any thick, dry patches that may appear, allowing you to work on psoriasis from the bottom up while gently cleansing the lesions. We also recommend using White Wonder and Skin Clean for scalp psoriasis (see “Dandruff, Psoriasis, and Scalp Eczema” above) to reduce dryness and relieve itching. Psoriasis can also affect the nails, for which we recommend using White Wonder cream and Skin Clean treatment (read “Hand and Foot Instructions” above).
